The memory of last year’s Jubilee celebration remains vivid in my heart, and I trust it will continue to shape me—not only as something to look back on, but as a call to move forward, living in the providence and grace of God, the source of all jubilation 150 years ago and throughout this ongoing journey of grace and gratitude.

I have witnessed and experienced the joy reflected in the faces of so many people who have been, and continue to be, part of this 150-year journey, both locally and internationally. Our local celebration within the Holy Spirit Province in Australia was, for me, marked by unity, joy, love, gratitude, and hope.

The most memorable moment for me was the celebration of the Mass in December 2025. Standing at the entrance of the church before the Mass began, gazing at the congregation already gathered inside, I was overcome by a profound sense of gratitude that is difficult to express—gratitude that transforms, that creates, and that breathes life into praise and glory to God.

In 2026, in a spirit of simplicity and joy, I continue to reflect on the many blessings God has bestowed upon our congregation—the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth—and upon me as a daughter of Blessed Mary of Jesus the Good Shepherd, Frances Siedliska. As I strive to live out her legacy, I will walk forward in faith and hope, doing my part, however small, to extend the Kingdom of God’s love to all creation.

Sr. Rita Marie
