The most memorable moment was being at the service in Santa Maria Maggiore. To be inside a Papal Basilica and to see hundreds of the congregation, and its supporters from around the world, come together to celebrate the 150th anniversary was amazing. As non-religious people it was a fabulous ceremony of the history of the congregation and recognition of the contributions you have made around the world.

It was lovely to see Sisters from around the world come together as members of a family. Some of them had not seen other Sisters for 10 or 20 years, yet they greeted each other like long separated siblings, with love and joy. It was humbling to experience this.

That friendship, camaraderie and a common purpose transcends languages, culture and geography. It was a privilege to be able to stay in the convent and see the daily lives of the congregation and to experience the exceptional hospitality provided to us as strangers.

REFLECTION QUESTION: How can you show hospitality and welcome to others in your daily life?
